I remember, balancing a zeal for apologetics with turning the other check is not without it's challenges. I've been rebuked for it a number of times, apparently I have an Ephesian tendency to defend doctrine to the point where I forget who I'm defending it for.

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. (Rev. 2:4)​

Apologetics is not just about fighting off the wolves, you also have to feed the sheep. Glad to see your holding fast to your commitment to civility firm enough to hold others accountable.

I like the OP, it's what I've been trying to do but I keep getting met with really rude responses, insults, false accusations, and in the end I get ignored for actually trying to hear what someone else has to say.

I don't think this is a place where anyone can learn, because people seem to be more interested in shooting down other people's views than in explaining their own views in any amount of detail.
