So Disturbing

I was at my husband's work today and picked up a magazine to read while I was waiting for him to get off work. After skimming through a few pages of this magazine, I realized that it was a magazine for gay men. I pointed it out to my husband (who gets the magazines directly from the corporate office and does not personally order any of them) and he threw all 3 issues of them in the trash. What I found most disturbing though, in this magazine was a picture a few pages into the magazine. It was a photo of a family. A mother, father and 4 children all sitting at what looked like the kitchen table and they were ALL nude. The caption under the photo said something to the effect of "The new nude american family". It didn't show their private areas but it did show everything else. Even on the little children in the photo.

HOW CAN THIS STUFF BE ALLOWED IN MAGAZINES THAT ARE SITTING IN PLAIN DAYLIGHT, MOST LIKELY AT A GROCERY CHECK OUT COUNTER!

This sort of thing just sickens me! What is this world coming to?!

I have a problem with that too. First of all that a child should be naked (fully or not) should not be allowed in a magazine... an infant in a diper commercial showing a little butt is cute, but beyond that I think it should NOT be allowed.

Secondly, I think that Gay magazine material is offensive (to me anyway) and I think it should best be left in the home of the person who bought it, not a public place.

but i guess that's all IMO... hmm... sad.

I also agree that gay magazines should not be in public for all to see. Sometimes I just pray for the day that the Lord returns and ends all this filth in the world.

You know what I can't even walk down the magazine isle of the supermarket anymore! The Lord has set me free from an adiction to tawdry things and it used to be you had to go into a seedy bookstore to find this kind of stuff. Now it is on the supermarket shelves and even in the daily newspaper.

To answer your question what is this world comming to?

I would say straight to H3ll!

Stand up and be counted! Tell the places you do business with you DON'T aprove have your husband tell his boss same thing. That it's not ok!

I think that the fact that this family lives their daily lives in the nude and the adult parents are walking around in the nude, in front of their children, holding, and hugging their children in the nude is support enough. It is sickening and sinnful.

I think we are in the end times right now but I agree with you, I think it is only going to get worse as time goes on. This is one of the reasons I find it so disturbing. If things are the way they are now, I can only imagine what it will be like 20 years from now. There has always been sin in the world and no matter what time in history that you look back to, there were terribly rotten things going on, however, it seems that things are progressing at a much faster speed these days. I am only in my 30's and the things the world accepts now, are things that I remember, just 20 years ago were things that people would not tolorate.

Yes, no doubt anyone objecting to that photo of naked children in a magazine will be labeled homophobic. There is the claim that all child molestors are straight. That makes no logical sense that straight men would go after children of the opposing gender, but it is what is pushed.

Yes, we are born nude but even before Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden into the world, God clothed them in animal skins. I truly do not believe that God wants us running around nude, he wants us to respect our bodies and honor him by keeping private things private.

I don't think that that's necessarily true. Some primitive tribes have no taboos against nudity. The parents are nude or partially nude throughout the day, without causing detriment to the children.

That's kind of what I was wondering. If that would have been just the children without the parents, it would have been considered pedofilia but for some stupid reason, since the parents were with the kids and were naked too, that somehow makes it an "OK lifestyle choice". I just don't get it. To me it is just flat out wrong.

What we must understand is where this article was published -- in a gay lifestyle magazine. I totally disagree with this lifestyle. However, more and more, society is accepting it as "being ok". Apparently this magazine is trying to help promote the "nudity lifestyle" as well.

Very sickening.
