Hi..
I have cancelled the internet connection, as it's too expensive, so I wont be contributing to the eschatology forum in future.. which might come as a relief to those who find my developing liberal-critical take on the bible exasperating.
But I have learnt a lot on the forum over the years, as it's a good way of expressing ideas, and various things which one might be too worried about, offending others, at the usual bible-study group.. (I keep silent at such events, as it would be putting a spanner in the works, but sometimes I cant resist throwing in a spanner).. but on the forum I suppose people are also offended, by any contentious issue.

Anyway.. that's all.

ps.. I'll be here until the 12th July.

Btw, idk how much you paid before but you can get the cheapest internet with verizon or brighthouse for around $23/month. Just trying to help. Take care of yourself.

thanks, but I don't use the internet much.. just to look up reviews on console games and TV.. and this forum, and apologetics sometimes.. we pay £53 per phone bill.. don't know what that is in dollars, but it's not worth it for me.. probably could find a cheaper connection, but I wont bother.. the old-fashioned telephone/text and snail-mail will do.

You need to learn to respect the people of the bible, even if you don't respect what they say. It's very easy to pick at things that you don't reference to the peron, really, for. Anyway...

...its a small price to pay to have someone as original as you are on the board.

You can't save money on phonecalls through skype? I agree 53 pounds is a lot. Maybe go wireless with some neighbours and share the cost? I'm just thinking of how important it is for maturity to develop your ideas, but I suppose bible study is part of that.

Just to say that I think that Jesus is coming back very soon, and we need to be aware of any threats directed at us from the enemy, to throw us off-track.. it happens to me, and I realise it later; whatever it is.. some contentious thing in the bible or some other thing.. continue to be aware of the need for repentance.

Don't be fearful of anything, any critical thought, or investigation into religion, keep an open mind and be aware that we can be wrong about anything, so continuously check up on things, do research, to try and discover what is true, about everything.

I have used Skype a few times, but I cant be bothered with it.. the relatives in Australia live in an opposite time-zone, so it's not really possible to Skype-communicate with them.. it's easier to phone people.

Sorry to see you go, mate. We may disagree on certain things, but what else is new in this place? Maybe if you can you can find an internet café and drop on to CF once-in-a-while?

In the UK your local library should have computers and free internet access, you might have to book a slot if they are busy though and its not so easy to use skype

Or if you have a laptop I'm sure there's plenty of places with free WiFi.

I do use the library sometimes. At the moment I mainly use the internet to look up on YouTube, how people have managed to get through the game Dead Space 2, as I am not a good player, for some reason.
