Well, you could try instead to use the ingredients of the mayo and not the mayo itself. There are many things in your kitchen that you could use to make a conditioner. I really like using oils in my regular conditioner (which is a main ingredient of mayo). I use jojoba the most. Another main ingredient is eggs. I wouldn't use the mayo all the time, though. It's great for hair because it is protein-rich, but you may suffer from protein build-up over time, making your hair feel rough and coarse. Have you ever tried honey? Adding honey to your conditioner or using a honey rinse is an awesome humectant and it makes hair really soft. You have to be careful not to use too much, though, or you'll get crunchy hair. I add a couple of drops to my leave-in conditioner.

Have you tried Cholesterol? http://www.queenhelene.com/haircarechol2.html

You leave it in for around 30 minutes then rinse it out...It works really good, and it's cheap. (I can get the big tub for like, 3 bucks) They use it to do scalp massages at the salon.

And best yet, it leaves no smell :)
