Smallville Nudity Petition.

Hi Folks,
In recent days Smallville has taken a real dive into the dumps, increasing greatly the amount of nudity, sensuality, and sexual humour on the show. This has been especially apparent in the fourth season thus far. I've begun a petition drive to see Smallville reformed and hope you will join me. The petition is located at http://www.dhq.nu/smalltownmorals/ and only takes a minute to fill out. There is even a petition for those who don't watch Smallville but support wholesome moral values. Thanks.
David.

Sex sells. Do you honestly think that the rick seeking businessmen and creators of any show will cave to "extreme right wing ideology?" I mean, hey, I'm against it to. But I doubt that they will even seriously consider it for a second. Sex sells. People love money. Sad but true.

But, go ahead and try, I give you credit for that.

I think you're a little off. I've seen sensuality, but not enough to merit a petition. In any good show there is a certain amount of sensuality. That's also been an element of Smallville even from the beginning; most of the stories involve Kent in love and trying to get with a girl. I don't see a problem with that.

i don't think the 'sexuality' 'sensuality' 'nudity' is anything enough to have enough people caring.
and besides, this is what television shows all the time. if it's popular and money-making- which it is- then i think Smallville creators are not about to step back from the skin. definetly not. The WB will not care i believe, and i recommend you don't like spend too much time on it as the WB will probably laugh and continue on as the owners are fat/rich/white- a deadly combination as history shows. :)

I agree that the nudity isn't *that bad*, but how bad does it have to be before we start complaining? I also am not a particular opponent of mild sensuality, for example, I'm okay with a kiss (even passioniate kissing), etc. Where I draw the line is when the characters begin to be sexually appealing to the audience, something which I believe is occurring more and more in this 4th Season. There have been several inappropriate shots (Clark naked [lower, lower back]; Lana naked behind shower silhouette, Lana naked in bed). Yes, its not porn, but it is sad...and the show has avoided it generally for so long.
What's it gonna hurt to sign the petition? Its a little time (more for me, but for most people its 2 mins.), and we're saying something, we're uniting ourselves and standing against immorality in media.

there is not nudity on that show, goodness people, they dont show boobs or penises or even butt cracks. If you dont like the show there is a thing called a 'remote' and if its because of Kids, dont let them watch it. Now if they were showing the things I mentioned above or hardcore penetration I can see being upset, but come on.

all we're saying is that there's really nothing you can do about it. you could even get 100,000 to sign that petition. so what?

they're still going to get more money doing it the way they are now. and to them, that's more than enough reasons to not listen to a minor petition.

excuse my grammar. i'm all jumbled today.

First, the chances of an internet petition doing something or having an effect is very slim, they generally aren't taken very seriously.

Second, when did nudity become a problem. I'm sorry but the human body is a beautiful thing and isn't something to be ashame of. So what they showed someones back, or a silouette. Please, if you are that uptight where you can't appreciate the human body and embrace how beautiful it is, then there are other things you should be worrying about. Also if you are going to try and get nudity off tv, you might as well go to beaches and tell people they can't wear bikinis or whatever... heaven forbid we see someone naked, or even some exposed flesh...
