Small Group Study Recommendations

Our church plant is in the process of creating a list of 'approved'/recommended small group study courses.

Of course, we definitely want to include studies of specific books of the Bible...in fact this will be a very high priority. Any good author commentaries or study guides to recommend when doing in-depth studies of specific books of the Bible?

We also would want to include studies such as "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby. Any good ones to recommend along that line?... Or along the topical line?

The Bible is the best study guide.

I agree that the Bible is wonderful. But I find commentaries that add a bit of history and information are very helpful in furthering my understanding.

I also feel that books such as "Radical" make me a better person. Books that point out things in the Bible that I might have missed.

Rachel.....I suggest you read "Radical"..... It will make you even more radical that you already appear to be. And I'm saying that in a very complimentary way. Honest to goodness, it is quite the eye-opener.

Obviously the Bible we are doing James right now it is fantastic....

If you are looking for a book though... Radical By David Platt is so great we just finished it up about a month ago good luck =]
