CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I agree that you should not date a non-Christian. It isn't something that you should aim for. And if you think you're going to change her once you start dating her, that's not a great thing to think... (She may change for a while, but usually as soon as you break up, everything goes back to how it was....)

I think that there is a big difference between sleeping together on a bed than on a couch, or even the floor.
A bed is in a private room. You're tempted to shut the door. Once the doors are shut there is much more temptation to do other stuff.
A couch is in a public room. If somebody is home or is due home they can walk in at any time.
I'd say no to the bed and yes to the couch. Or even a floor in the living room or something like that.

I've been thinking about this a little more, and I must say, if it were me, I would have done just what Bob did. If I were the girl, I would have just fallen asleep thinking I was in the most comfortable place I could have been in the room. And if I were the guy and had a sleeping girl laying on my shoulder, I wouldn't be rude and push her off, I'd probably just go to sleep.
So... I don't know if that means I've changed my mind, you guys can read over my previous statement, but that's what I [most likely] would have done.
