  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

i woke up at 1 a.m. this morning again. what is it about 1 a.m.? lol.

We have 2 or three complete sleep cycles per night. 1 am is likely the end of your first sleep cycle after your normal time falling asleep. If you sleep at 10 pm then your cycle is 3 hours.

...that is very interesting!
I have an extra event...'exploding head syndrome', yes I had never heard of it before, but I described the symptoms to 'Dr. Google' and the info' came up on the screen. I believe it isn't dangerous, but it makes me jump when the explosions occur, just as I am nodding off. ;)

I get those, but mine are just a mild "thump" at the worst. Usually after missing a nights sleep.

It is certainly a problem;
I have had the problem for a number of years and now when I wake up in the middle of the night, or can't get to sleep, I have a cocoa, and pray and read the Psalms.
Time with the Lord on the 'night watch' the same as the monks in ancient times that I have read about, I give to the Lord.
I also pray every night for a good night's sleep, since I realized the importance of this time.
Bed time is ideally 10.30pm, certainly lights out by 11pm. I read in the Bible that sleep is a gift from the Lord,

Psalm 127
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.

Last night I slept! and today I feel so good and thank the Lord for his blessing.
This is a good link,
The Gift Of Sleep

Hot Chocolate has much less caffeine than coffee does.
Chocolate really stimulates my heart rate, but that's just me.
Dim yellow lighting in the even ing likely won't interfere with your sleep
but experiment with no artificial light at all a few days and see if
your sleep improves.

once in a blue moon something loud will wake me up but it's in my head. it's like a screen door being slammed.

That is so interesting! I started off with explosions some months ago, then it changed to banging sounds, as if in an iron foundry. Now it is like a rifle being shot through my head.
I wonder if it is some form of stress...?
;)

i wonder if it has to do with the eyeball connections. the optic nerve or something. when i move my eyeballs the banging coincides with the movement.

I typically fall asleep for about 2 to 4 hours and then wake up. I’ll then take melatonin and listen to biblical commentaries.
