The unfortunate thing about this earth is that some people have it in their heads that in order for someone to be humbled, they must be humiliated (by them).
Take a break from it, I totally understand!!

Okay, it's official. I'm a thread killer. I've killed several threads today.
SUPER POWERS....ACTIVATE! haha
Honor, it just occurred to me that you might think I'm "dismissing" you not wanting to explain your beliefs.
Trust me, I'm not. I took a break from "explaining" for a very long time as you know, and just took time to regroup, heal, and get stronger.
I totally respect your right to do the exact same thing! The unfortunate thing about this earth is that some people have it in their heads that in order for someone to be humbled, they must be humiliated (by them).
Take a break from it, I totally understand!!
It shouldn't surprise me, but it does.Knowing what's ahead, should this slandering over there, even though the thread has been closed, surprise us?
It shouldn't surprise me, but it does.
More surprising to me, however, was how energetically every SDA posted compared to the normal forum-goers. Not just Traditionals, but Progressives and Formers too. When I stumbled upon the thread, there was a lot of uncertainty about who we are. Then MaidForHim comes along and posts her views on Ellen White with lots of info (very biased info, if you ask me, but she still did her homework). I come along and try to show a more central viewpoint with whatever I could dig up on the fly. TrustAndObey comes along and posts some very eloquent things and yet more info. Then it seemed like every SDA here (on all sides, mind you) came in with tons of strong views for every viewpoint. I felt bad for the non-denom section for witnessing the huge broadsides that pushed the thread over the edge.
What I was most taken aback by was how well read SDA's are compared to the non-denominational section. I go to other sections of the forums where the views are more general, and I see a lot of stated opinion with little to nothing to back them up. I come to the SDA sections expecting to see long, well-written and researched points, no matter what side, and I'm rarely let down. On one hand, it's fantastic, but on the other hand, it's a bit scary.
