Skunked

Last summer on an evening walk, I got sprayed by a skunk. It was an embarrassing, smelly situation where my wife had to help me with the deodorizing bath late into the night (and then dealing with the odor in the house. Phew!). I had more than one person mention the lingering odor the next day. Has anyone else here been sprayed by a skunk?

No, i have been around a few they were not aggressive.

A couple years ago towards the end of a run on a gravel road where I was in a full sprint…. A mama with several small babies decided to cross the road….I could not stop quick enough and turn around... and mama was positioning. ….I jumped …but I think God gave me wings at that moment… she let loose, but missed…. Thankfully. It was the highest longest jump I have ever made… that is the closest I have come

On the other hand…. I had dog that hated skunks …and would take the hit just to kill them…

I can imagine what that would be like ….it was bad enough trying to get it off the dog many times. It’s just an eye burning smell like none other.

It's honestly worse than you can imagine when it's on you and you can't escape it. Thought the smell alone could burn off all my nose hairs.
