Skinny Dipping?

Summer is rapidly approaching, a time when many people remove their clothing to enjoy a nude swim. This is not a new concept; the Saturday Evening Post depicted boys skinny dipping on its cover as far back as 1911.

Have you ever gone skinny dipping? Would you be willing to do so? Why or why not?

If I failed to include a choice that you believe belongs in the poll, it was an honest oversight on my part and not an effort to skew the poll.

Not likely. Usually water is cold
where I live. And warmer water

Yes, both in a lake at night and a very private pool.

I chose other. My answer would be by myself and with my spouse.
I wouldn't dip anywhere during the day now, with google earth taking pics.

I don't believe that I said that it was a "trend." However the unscientific poll here shwos that 3/4 of this responding thus far have gone skinny dipping or would be willing to do so.

So I'm curious why you started this thread. Sorry but it seems like a rather silly thing to discuss, but I thought it might be a fun one for a change.

I just wanted to see what people's take on the matter was. I certainly don't see anything wrong with skinnyy dipping, but I knoiw that some would disagree.

I was in Mexico in Mar and went skinny dipping. My next time with be at a longest day party.

We have a pool at our summer place and always skinny dip when company isn't around. And there's nothing so glorious as skinny dipping in the ocean.

My first skinny dip was 43 years ago this month. I have continued since then, being joined by my wife and kids as we made a family. Our next "skinsuit" adventures will be this coming weekend; 3 days of fun in the sun with no tan lines (but lots of sunscreen).

My mom was a country girl and never wore a swimsuit until she was 18 and moved to Chicago. It's a family tradition!

I have gone skinny dipping several times, with friends of mixed company, at a nude beach and a nude resort. Interestingly, I found that you actually warm up quicker when you get out of the water.

Yes; water rolls off of skin quickly, allowing it to warm up fast.

Keeping a wet, soggy, dripping swimsuit on is most uncomfortable!

I HATE wearing a swimsuit...

I was visiting my GF in Canada last weekend and we got to go to a nudist resort one day while I was there.
A very relaxing day with some great conversation.

Are there other polls like this? If so I wonder what percentage of Christians skinny dip in private or with a spouse?

Do you think more than 50 percent of Christians think it is ok to skinny dip, but they just keep it private?

Do you think a lot of Christians skinny dip, but they don't consider themselves a nudist?

In the 30's and 40's when they had nude swimming at the YMCA was skinny dipping not considered a big deal and most people did not hide it?

Christians either did it or not and it was ok to talk about it at church etc.? Just curious.

Its hard to skinny dip in Canada in January and nude cross country skiing is just a tad too brisk.
