Ok..question..again..
Why, as a Site Supporter, would I be limited (or anyone for that matter) to 5 smilies in a blog entry? Also, why is our text limited to 10,000 characters in one blog entry?

The Smiles, I'm betting are a permission error (Bug report would probabbly get that fixed)

the 10K Character Limit I'd bet has more to do with the Database Format / Limitation of the Forum Software Itself.

(I.E. No one can have a post with more than 10K characters)

EDIT: Looked into the Maximum Size, and with a CHAR Database setting the maximum is around 64K, so it's another setting issue.

The old CF allowed us to have the 10k plus characters. It is one of my old blog entries, and will not allow me to post it in my new blog. :(

You posted while I was editing my post :)

It appears to be a setting issue also :)
If there storing it as a CHAR in the database the maximum value would be around 64K characters in a single post (including HTML formatting codes)

Well, hmm, do I report it (both of them) as bugs?

Now just to see how long tell they modify it :D

(If I had an extra $180 I'd install it on my servers to figure it out for ya :D :D )
:) I believe this to be a fairly critical problem, so hopefully it won't be long.

Re Visitor Messages.
Nice that we can delete them (though I doubt I'll ever use it other than the test I just did :) )

But....

When deleting a posting, we see the soft delete box, and reason for deletion.
It states that it will PM the reason to the poster, but when I just tested it with a sock, the sock never got the PM that there posting was deleted.

I don't believe we've gotten a chance yet to get the Notifications (or any auto-response pm's) up and running yet. Which is why your sock did not get a notification about it.

A Visitor Message on my page put there by my sock :)
(I put a Visitor message on your page, so you can delete it if you want)
Just check the box to the right of the message, and on the bottom of the page there is an option to then delete the checked post / posts

oh, ok. I knew about that. What Im wanting to know is if I need to edit a post I write in someone elses Visitor Message.

Thanks for helping :)

So that is *Managements/Leaderships* answer ???

Just close the thread and lambast the people asking legitimate questions???

I wish I could say this is UNBELIEVABLE !!! But in fact it has become your Modus Operandi... :sigh:

It is NOT unreasonable to have/expect a thread during this process (Now months long...) where questions can be asked and should be answered in a reasonable time period is it???

It is NOT unreasonable to have/expect updates on a weekly basis is it???

If this is *bad* behavior, so be it... It still needs to be said again and again until this is fixed... I know I'm not the only one thinking it... :sigh:

Good Grief... :prayer: :prayer: :prayer:

Ty

If there's something personal going on, health or medical issues, job or family struggles, etc., then it's perfectly understandable for those people to receive prayer while they deal with those issues -- while stepping down for others to take over, perhaps temporarily, to get the job done in the meantime.

Last I heard, the reason for the lack of updates was planning for a child's birthday party.
