Hi everyone,

Most of the site supporter perks have been fixed! The other piece of good news is that those of you experiencing random post moderation problems should be all clear now! By the way, my task list is down from 200 to 130 now. We're definitely making progress!

Tomorrow I will begin tackling some of the bank / blessings / possibly job issues. I'll still try working through other small bugs, but most of the time spent is finding and working through specs rather than development itself. We'll probably alternate between major user features and administrative/backend stuff to keep everyone happy while still working towards a stable website. Although I'd love to work on the fun stuff like pets, blessings, etc. maintaining the stability and quality of the site has to come first, which means also focusing on administrative tools and fixing core problems.

I'm still not familiar with all of the old CF features, so please try to be patient while I work with the staff and get these features back up and running! We've made an enormous amount of progress so far, so I hope we will all stay positive and continue to help CF flourish.

Thanks very much for the update...:clap::clap:

I know many have been looking forward to a functional bank for a while.

Hopefully we will be able to collect interest weekly at 1%. That is how it used to be

Yeah the site supporter status should be working now.
Thanks. :)
Does it show that you are a Site Supporter like it did, and will we be given credit for the months we were not able to use (as previously brought up and discussed)?

Thanks for the update SA:) So good to have some decent communication rather than the overbearing and patronising finger wagging that has been the way of things previously. This is pretty much all we ever wanted, to be told what was happening and when we could expect certain things to be operational again.:)

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow I will begin tackling some of the bank / blessings / possibly job issues.
woot! any ideas on how long before the bank and jobs are back and working fully? Are we going to have 1% bank interest per week like we did before? If you can only do monthly interest can you give us 5% per month to make it comparable? Did someone give you a list of the jobs and how many posts equal how many blessings per week? Were you told that for over a year we were promised a job for 100,000 posts, 250,000 posts and 500,000 posts and never got it yet. Can you add those 3 to the original list without a problem by any chance?

wondering this also - one of the "perks" that we had was just the fact that it said site supporter each time we posted which is still missing

Ok....

We are working on the bank, the jobs, blessings, and the post bit. Ideally, we need to do them all at once, in order to bring the icons back up in the postbit, ie the graphical part to the right of the avatar. However, that is a huge undertaking, thus we are doing this in 2 steps... First bring up these things one at a time, and manually code the post bit (sort of the old way, which led to server issues) but alas we will only have a few things up, not all 22 or so options. That way, ya'll get some of the cool features back shortly. Doing so gives us the time to recode how the images and such are generated and placed in the postbit, and thus over a longer term bring us almost back to the old post bit, without the associated hit on server performance. We will install Petz before doing the big post bit push though.
