  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My sister wants to be baptised but my mum´s against second baptism (my sister has been baptised as she was 5 years old and now we are attending a church where they say that you should only get baptised after taking Jesus as Lord). I understand why my sister wants to do that but the baptism will take place on the 28th November and she hasn´t told her family about her plan because she is affraid of her mothers reaction. I as her sister heard about her plan through some friends and have talked with her yesterday evening but she doesn´t know what to do and how to tell the rest of our family.

I fear that mum´s going to get very angry with her if she tells her now because she has already fixed everything and has been to the per-baptism-meetings (she has told her lies to get leaf to go). Furthermore I think that it´s not right to base your baptism on lies but it´s her desicion. I advised her to take the next date for baptism (March) because I also want to get baptised then and can help her convincing mum but she does not understand.
There are several things which mum has done that my sister can´t forgive her (my mum has been trying /is trying to tell her how to live her life) and so I fear that the whole case will leed to a big quarrel and I fear that my family will never be the same.
Please pray for my sister that she can meke the right desicion and that she can forgive my mother and for my mother that she can understand my sister and forgive her that she hasn´t told her everything before.

God bless you all

Dear Lord,

Please do not let Ainuhina's family be fractured over this. Please lead her sister in the direction you want her to go. Help her examine her motives and faith deeply. If you want her to go through this baptism, please speak through her and give her the right words to say to her mother.

It's obvious you want what's best for all here. Praying that the Lord will guide both you and your sister in this and help her be reconciled with your mother

Thank you all for praying!!

I just quickly want to tell you how things have gone so far.
My sister yesterday told my parents that she wants to get baptised and the only reaction was that they told her it´s her desicion and that she´s got to tell granma and granpa. We later found out that they already knew of her plan (she´s told her tennieleader, he told someone else and this person told her family who met with my parents saturday evening and didn´t know it was a secret). I´m so happy everything has gone well so far (as is my sister) and I´m really looking forward to her baptism.

So, here i am again with some more news about how things have gone so far 8thnak you all for praying).

My sister is going to be baptized this Sunday. My parents so far are not against it anymore (they´ve made their peace with her desicion). My grandparents and the rest of my family is still not happy with it but they respect her desicion-they only problem they have now is that it is called baptizem because she was baptized as a child and they think that re-baptizem is a sin. We had long discussions with them but I think they are to old to change their point of view.

So I´m really looking forward to Sunday...
