Do you not realize how frustrating it is for people who believe their salvation was achieved by the death of Jesus (AS) and those who rejoice after hearing from Muslims that their ancestors were not successful in killing Jesus.

They were successful in killing Jesus - but He was resurrected, therefore conquring death and sin.

Do you not know how frustraiting it is when we're told by Muslims that Jesus wasn't actually crucified and then raised from the dead and that he didn't conquer death and sin?

Want to know what I think to that?

Why would God need to conquer death and sin? That doesn't make sense. Also, when Jesus was down on Earth, who was in heaven directing all of the affairs of the Universe. Because it's God's duty to make sure everything is working otherwise there would be total chaos. Or did everything magically work while God was having a 33 year vacation on Earth?

God the Father was in heaven. God the Son was on earth.

So that means that there was at one point in time atleast two God's in existance. If you throw the holy spirit into the mix that makes three. Yet Christians still deny that they are polytheists.

I wouldn't have expected an atheist to deny that God is the same as Allah. They are just two names for the same being in two different languages. And the name Allah has been around a lot longer than the name God, because the English language is only about 960 years old while the arabic language was around for thousands of years.

It's very easy to say no when you come out with a story completely contradictory to christian belief.

Nope, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all One. I've pretty much given up on trying to explain it to Muslims, as most of those I speak to do not even attempt to understand. It never ceases to amaze me though, that Muslims always attempt to put limits on what God can do while professing that He is all powerful in the same breath.

Not that I think it will make a difference, but:

Gospel of John chapter 1 -- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Iam unlike any atheist you'll ever meet.The muslim God,Allah,has no son.The christian God has a son.Therefore they are not the same.BTW,pointing out that arabic has been around longer is just plain silly.What did you hope to prove with that statement?

Being a religious studies major, a helpful tip I've found in understanding another religion is this. If you're a Muslim and want to understand Christianity, forget everything out know about the Qur'an and read the Bible. If you're a Christian and you want to understand Islam, forget everything you've read about Jesus in the Bible and read the Qur'an. If I want to understand Hinduism, but I seek to do so from a Christian perspective, I will always fail, because Christians aren't Hindus. If I want to understand what it means to be a Muslim, I can't try to do it from a Christian perspective, because Muslims aren't Christians. So if you want to understand what it is to be a Christian, abandon what you know of Islam, and understand what we know as Christians.

Not exactly.

John 10:17-18 "No one can take my life from me. I lay down my life voluntarily. For I have the right to lay it down when I want to and also the power to take it again. For my Father has given me this command."

If Jesus hadn't allowed them to do it, they couldn't have done it. He gave His life voluntarily.

Because the God I believe in loves people and wants them all to be saved. He fulfilled His own justice with His death, so that we may be spared.
