Green Man said:In some ways, muslims and christians are very much alike. Both sides are continually attempting to convert all of us "unbelievers".You're right in that it is my choice to read or not.I prefer not.
A person doesn't need to study any religion to understand the adherrents of that religion. And don't give me that talk about suffering.Every group of people on this planet has endured suffering.
I have learned however,that Islam is a peaceful religion,if you're a devout muslim.If you're not,then it's convert or die.
Muslims can not and will not have power to convert any one in this world because they believe only The Creator has the power to change hearts. All I can do is open up Qur'aan, Teachings of Prophet and literature of Scholars in front of you. Its you're responsibility to analyze the information available.
I believe any person in this world who gives threat of killing himself and suicide just to make others acknowledge his/her pain has reached the last stage and this shows the injustice of the world who failed to acknowledge the problem in the first place.
Just yesterday I was watching Indian news, in India there is a hindu guy who was tortured by police 10 years ago for nothing, for 10 years who fought to get justice through legal system now he has given up hope and wrote a letter to UN stating he will kill himself if he doesn't get justice before Aug 15.
Why this suffering - and yet you are telling me not to give that talk about suffering... WHY NOT?
Every group of people on this planet has endured suffering means other has to continue suffering too? What is this injustice?
