You are right to be wary of Psychology, but I fear that you have misunderstood it. Psychology has a poor history (starting with Freud and his silly sexual stages) but it has become much more scientific (and reliable) in the last 40 years. At the same time, Psychology often fails to explain why things happen...No proof, no support, no scriptures, nothing, aside from some weak inferences taken out of psychology. Psychology???? Are you kidding me? You're actually going to cite as authoritative source a "science" that is based in evolutionary humanistic theory?
About the dreams...i personally believe that dreams most often reflect what we've been thinking about - however i do believe that dreams can be spiritual. Sometimes God speaks to us through dreams and I don't doubt that the forces of evil would also try to 'speak' to us or at the very least 'tempt' us...
I would encourage you to pray every night before going to sleep. i used to have these 'sinful' dreams and since I started praying every night I haven't had one. I continue to dream, but these dreams are absent.
You can interpret that however you like...i would simply encourage you to pray - and don't be hard on yourself. We are not responsible for one comes into our minds (unless of course we are watching something we shouldn't be) - we are responsible for what we do with what comes into our minds.
God bless you.
