CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So I've been thinking about this for the past few days and I've come to the decision to take a break from Singles. I will still be on CF, and post in one or two of the threads that I made in Singles but thats about it. If you need me/want to chat VM or PM me. I just need some time away.

Before you begin, please know a few requirements:
1) You MUST make at least one depressing thread per week. Failure to do so will suggest that you are happy being single and we can't have any of that floating around here like a gassy goat.
2) Do not reveal any crushes that you may have. Being brave is of no benefit to you or anyone else. Anonymous tags and ambiguous Onionheads are the currency of love around here.
3) The Corner of Self-Loathing is currently closed while we install a water slide. Thank you for your patience.
