CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm going to take a little break from this place for a while. I'm not sure how long it'll be, maybe just a few days or a week, maybe longer, but it won't be too long as I'm quite addicted! 
I'll be completely open and honest as to why: Lately CF has been doing more harm than good to me. I'm not quite sure why, but it's now making me more down and depressed than ever. It's a daily struggle to stay happy and content. So I think it'll be healthier for me to take a short break. I decided to tell you all about this because it'll help keep me accountable.
So, I'll be back soon! Bye for now!

I am going to be taking a break from here for a while, not sure for how long, but lately people have been judgmental and flat out rude to me. So I think before it continues to upset me, I am taking a break away from here...

I just joined the site. I was raised Southern Baptist from a very early age, then went off to college, and now travel alot around the country for my job. I recently made the decision to redevote myself, honestly, I had been living for myself instead of for God. I know that life can take its toll on the best of us, but I also know that isn't an excuse for us to not strive to be better Christians and people in general. I'm looking forward very much to being here on the site and meeting new people with similar views and beliefs.

Hi fellow singletons, i`am single by choice. You don`t need a partner to enjoy life. You go out and have fun and do what you want to do. I have had girlfriends before but currently single. Would be nice to meet someone in the future, but i`am not going to dwell in it!

Yeah, there was that time when CF was on the Titanic and it sunk, and it died in the cold waters of the north Atlantic, and I remember saying to myself "I'll never let go CF. I'll never let go"
Or maybe that was a movie or something. I dunno. All I know is that this place is hard to give up!

Hello. Christ works in funny ways sometimes. I've been a Christian far longer than I've been active on internet message boards, and I've been on forums for over a decade now, but this is the first real Christian forum I've ever been this active in (beyond just signing up). Nice community here, and I hope to hunker down and settle in.
Just finished 8 years of college for several degrees, searching for that first career, but know that the God who helped me those 8 years with schooling will help me in this career search. Praying it doesn't take 8 years! Hahaha...
