Having been reading through these threads for the first time, it struck me that they all seem to be about marriage and relationships! Don't we single ladies have anything else to discuss?

Like how we manage our own DIY, or figure out for ourselves how to use and sort out our computers!

In recent years I have landscaped my own garden, made my own decisions about reorganising the house, set up my own pc and created three websites. I have also taught several other people about pcs and websites. Also an ex-nurse friend of mine is now a professional landscape gardener and does all her own heavy work.

Anyone else like to extol their achievements?

I noticed the same thing flaglady. Like there is no happiness unless a man is involved. I don't mean to sound mean, but...The Lord can richly fill our lives. The problem is we limit Him.

Okay. Enough preaching.

I don't have many pratical things I can brag about. I am an artist, playwrite, director and a self published author. My inspiration has been the Man who inspires me most. Jesus!

My hat is off to you flaglady. That would be the day I could do all you have done with the computer. I'm aiming for 100 posts here so I can start posting my art. That way I can show you what He has enabled me to do.

Landscaping? Impressive! How I would love to have a little outside pound with gold fish, flowers and a bench to sit on and ponder all the beauty.

After my divorce I went back to college while working full time. Can you say caffeine addict? I got my bachelor's (is is that bachelorette's) degree. Although I didn't really get anywhere with it, I guess it was still a good achievement for someone who's pathetic excuse for a high school discouraged her from going to college because her parents simply couldn't afford it. I've always done things the hard way. Yeah...I'm sick of it. I just bought a house 8 months ago. Any advice on DIY for females I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY need! Also...the website thingee...I really want to learn how to do that. My baby brother thinks I would be good at it.

Websites is actually not all that difficult after the first time around. Get an Idiot's Guide to Building a Website - big orange book- they're great to learn by! - and givie it a go. The buzz you get when you first appear on a Google search is almost as good as getting a book published! (Well, almost!)

Bachelorette's is demeaning? I don't understand. My degree was $20+grand I am throwing down the toilet each month in $142 increments. I should have gone into something in the medical field. Maybe then I would feel like I contribute to society. For now I just bide my time trying to figure out what the next move might be. The ideas are limitless...

What I meant was really in fun

although it does sadden me when femininities are added to nouns which, historically in my experience, makes the female role appear to be less than the masculine - manager-ess being a prime example.

But I didn't really mean anything particular by it - just a bit of fun - promise!
