CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

All 3 of us pitched in and since we are really used to cooking and cleaning up for a crowd (when we are all here there are 10) no hassel. The only thing she wanted this year was for us all to be there and we were. I have an ironclad rule. Use paper plates! And yeah I usually get stuck with the pots and pans. They all disappear right after the cake!

Ok now I want some and there are none here. Good thing I guess. Oh I saw something really tacky today. There is a club here that raises funds by putting pink flamingo's in peoples yards. You pay to have them put in the yards and then those people pay the club to get them taken away. I was coming home and there was this yard full of em. And right in the middle was this huge sign that said "Youv'e been flamingoed".

That's funny. When you have a brithday here you can hire a company to place the bird around your yard too. I think thats so funny. We have people who put out gnomes out in there yard and sometimes they get kid nap. Sometimes the kidnapper send people photos of there gnomes in different places. LOL
