CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have to agree with Caitlincares here. its much easier on the child to find these things out at an earlier age because then they can get into the routine of had work earlier because people with dyslexia have to work much harder to learn things than other people do.caitlincares said:

They had me in speech class when I was young.
The only real problem was I was wicked shy and did not like talking hardly at all.
I did not even like talking to the silly speech therapist.
I knew there was nothing wrong with me.

He's not shy by a long shot. He won't shut up sometimes either but that's another story. I am just glad that we know what is going on with him. Now we can work together to fix the problem. He had to have speech classes too. He was a preemie and also was a blue baby and LD's show up in alot of kids that are O2 deprived at birth.
