  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not to bad, I usually have work to do but I don't have any new anssignments sitting on my desk so things are doing ok. Had to do a little work on another computer system (boss's wife) but that all play.

When I leave work in afternoon. Work stay at that place, I don't try to bring any home. It's good to have Monday off but like anything eles then it's tuesday fault for being bad. I quess being a CSA it sometimes hard to leave the problems behind. You always have that nasty customer on line 2 that is clueless.

I am getting a kitty cat tomarrow    from the Fort Leavenworth Vet, she was going to be put to sleep after the boss moves within a month because he doesn't like putting them to sleep and will wait forever for an adaption but the senior enlisted person goes by the rules if not adopted in 1 month they are goners. She has been there for 1.5 months. She is about 6 months old. A little cute, totally affectionate though    , stinks  - first thing bath time.

My cat passed away about 2 months ago  and my wifes about 6 months ago  . My wifes cat is the silly thing in my picture.

CC I like your Home Page, It looks very nice  .

M - I like your siggy

Since everybody abbrevates my name I figure I can do the same :p .

 I am glad you are getting a new real life kitty cat.

I am glad you liked my home page, TOM.

I have missed you my friend.

ya, the cat was really up in the air because the vet required only $50 for tests, shots, and chip which the cat had to have prior to leaving but the real issue was spaying which the Ft Leavenworth vet doesn't do. And when I called around the cheapest was $125  around here which was out of the question. And then my wife said must not be what God wants stop looking:cry: . And I said I will when I dont have any more options :) . Then I called the Kansas City Human Society which does fix pets and they only wanted $35 and had only one vacancy left this month which is wednesday the day after we get her :D   . My wife just sat there in silence. She really doesn't want another cat because she doesn't want to get hurt by death. She did the same thing when we got her cat. Then she fell in love with it.

Well, my wife gets really attached and falls in love with them as I do and she doesnt like getting another one because she gets afraid of them dying also and doesn't want to go through that again. Plus for me & her I guess we just love them so much that they are not just replaceable. I had a fit when by first cat died about 15 yrs ago. I still remember him taking up 3/4 of my pillow, he would be wrapped around my head litterally like a "C" when I would go to sleep. They are our kids.

My one cat is 15 yrs old. The other is 7. I don't kill cats it's just that I go out and get another when it expires.

TB, congratulations on your new kitty! I am a ga-ga pet lover, and I consider animals to be true members of the family, so I understand where both you and your wife are coming from. Losing a pet is dreadfully hard and it makes you not want to get hurt again... but then the next little orphan comes along who needs you... and in my mind, a house without a pet just isn't a home. I'm glad this worked out for you. :)
