CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Got some good food now. Strawberries. ok I guess I'm fine. Later this month I wil have the "pleasure" spending an Saturday with my Sunday School class on trip to see lighthoues on Lake Michigan. Any suggestions for what type of music I should play in my personal cd player. No one will talk to me.

A friend from Ohio and I visited a bunch of them here in Maine when he came for a visit.
And we saw a couple on Lake Michigan (northern Ohio) when I visited him once.

Wish I knew the answer. I have some radical Ideas. About doing service projects. I sort of push the envolope at one time. I tried to put some life into them. But thet are very set in there ways. Every Sunday they go to Panar Bread. There are other resturants around but pannar bread is the place of choice. I asked few times to go someplace that had a gaint screen to watch the stockers race but they won't go. But if there is a staking event on they will go to the place with the gaint screen

All are stuck in a rut. I heard evey thing from we don't like learn anything new, nor do we like to try anything new... It would seem if the Sunday school teacher has done it they will try it. If he liked going to an airshow they would go. But if any of the fellas want to an airshow or wright patterson it's awful (sorry about the spelling) So I just go out and do my own thing

So why not ask some of the guys including the leader if they would like to get together and go to an airshow or wright patterson. Maybe at another time not right after sunday school. If he went and had a blast then maybe the group would be more accepting of change. Don;t worry about the spelling.

It is the whole class it is as if they have given up living. The only thing they enjoy is eatting, One time I wanted to do Chinese and was ask if it was all you can eat place. I said no but it was a good place to go. The quality was good ended up eatting alone they went to all you can eat place Teaching them new songs is impossible Teaching them anything is impossible.

Then maybe it's time to try to find another group that you have more in common with. If that means switching churches then so be it. Sometimes in order for you to be happy you need to change. Seems like this bunch has forgotten all about it. There's always a way around a brick wall but sometimes you kill yourself trying to find it.
