This has been a question on my mind for a while, personally I think I'm only going to play a few new games and then quit with games. I looked forward to a lot of games and realized that I would have to spend a lot of money, which, as far as I know, our money is not our money, it is Gods and it should go for stuff that he wants. I am going to spend my money like this 10% tith*spelling? 40% Food 40% bills and living expenses and 5% for entertainment, and 5% just for spending money. I might have forgot something, but that is what I know I will need and everything.

Anyway, I am pretty much openminded and Doom 3 gets me motion sick when I watch footage or anything, its the first game I have ever seen that does that to me. I personally like Sports games like Blitz and NFL Street and NBA Street. I like First Person Shooters that have a Story... but I know that GOD has stopped my cousin and I from playing the "BEST" one yet called System Shock 2. We were playing CO-OP and were almost done and then his system crashed and his Windows was screwed up. So although I will still have that mystery of how the rest of the story would unfold, I am going to NOT continue playing that game.

So PRAISE THE LORD AND ALL HIS GLORY.

Do as you see fit but try to see with your Spirit instead of your Flesh.

Pentagrams were used symbolically in ancient Greece and Babylonia. The Pentagram has magickal associations, and many people who practice pagan faiths wear them. Christians once commonly used the pentagram to represent the five wounds of Jesus, but nowadays some Christians associate the symbol with Satanism. However, most who use it are not Satanists.

When Satanists do use the Pentacle -- it is inverted. It places 2 points at the top (representing the elements of earth and fire) and places the spiritual element at the bottom.

Whether or not you play a certain type of game is up to you. If it makes you feel icky or guilty, don't play it! There's no reason to willingly cause yourself pain! :p If you enjoy it and feel that you benefit from it (in a positive way of course) then what's the problem?

Listen to your innermost self... it will lead you well.

I'm a christian and I've been having mixed feelings about the type of pc games I've been playing... I love games like Half-Life 2, Doom 3, Unreal Tournament, and other shooting games like those....but I can't help but think that I'm disappointing God when I play such games...you know what I mean? There is a ton of violence in those type of games and I just feel wrong about playing them? Do you guys think it's sinful to play such games or am I worrying to much about something too small? Thx for all your replies!
Maybe it can be said best that the fact you are worried shows that you think its wrong brother to feel such feelings shows that you have true power and insight God bless you

Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial... go with your gut. I found that being a "bad" character in a game is a good outlet for me. I can be angry, deceitful, and violent without bothering my conscience because it's a game... but I do have to admit, some of the things some games have you doing don't make me feel good (i.e. killing cops for points, being mean to the poor Ithorian creatures in KOTOR, etc.). A rich fantasy life is a gift - whether that be attained through books, movies, or games. I think it depends on how immersed you allow yourself to be in your fantasy.

Man man man man. Look if its influencing you to do the wrong things thats when its bad. Also you must keep a balance in your playing time because if it overwhelms you too much can be sinfull. Plus dont forget: IT IS JUST A GAME THATS IT!! dont make it more then that. The QUran or Torah or Bible could have told ya that but I think its better to post it on a forum.

According to your religion, yes, yes he does.

Wrong. No where in scripture does it state that God has a "holy clipboard" of all the wrong things we christians have done.
Quite the contrary, as Christians are delivered from:
the power of satan....(acts 26:18,col1:13)
From their sins......(acts 26:18, ephesians 1:7, col 1:14,1 peter 1:18-19)
We are constantly reminded in scripture that we christians were the enemies of God, were dead in sins and trespasses, and were without God and hope.

Stating that God remembers are sins after we become his children, as have you have said, is an statement coming from one who has no clue in what he is talkng about. How could you rant on and on and not even have the slightest clue of what the bible actually says?

I enjoy playing a game like KOTOR to the glory of God. Of course, Star Wars is an alegory to Buddism. However, we are saved by faith to do good works. I enjoy playing light side. I typically just filter out a lot of the ying yang type references.
