Let's not start making this a debate on whether or not Medjugorje should or shouldn't be discussed. If you want to discuss it, by all means, open up a thread.

As a matter of fact, you can even open a "discussion" thread on Fatina, Guadaloupe, Lourdes, and all the other approved and non-approved Apparition sites you want. Geez....there was even a thread on the image of Jesus on a grilled cheese sandwhich.

The point being, as David state earlier, it has been discussed amongst the Staff. Policy was set. Enough said. End of discussion.

Yes, I am aware of the thread you are speaking of. I was intensively reading it up to a point.

For it to be closed and not re-opened, Staff would have had to have a very good reason for it.

That thread and all related to it is in the hands of the admins not the OBOB mods. As stated in the thread closing:

I will then kick the re-opening of this thread to the team admins to avoid any accusation of a conflict of interest

So that situation is in the hands of all the admins. Threads can still debate it as long as the debate it (the apparitions) and not staff actions.

I personally have entered the debates only to ask for clarifications on some points. I have remained out of them so If I need to make a call I can clearly. I have read them and I have, of course, studied (Long before this) the Church's teaching on private revelation and how the Church makes Her decisions on these matters. But I have intentionally stayed out of the debates on this aside from clarification and to briefly state my own view on what messages I personally use for reflection (ie. Lourdes, Fatima and such)

Okay, I stayed out of OBOB for rest of the day....and I have had time to cool down. From now on I will go thru proper channels or proceedures to voice my complaints. But in having doing so before, and getting zippo feedback or my concerns addressed.....I am well, just jaded.

This is very personal for me....my parish has been ripped apart by Pro-Medjugorje and the CCR movement....which seem to go hand in hand.

I understand your concerns. I know sometimes official channels can be slow. I try to to my best to be communicative on these matters. Sometimes things are slow so the most informed decision can be made.

Sorry about that. It's been a long couple of weeks. I've noticed that I have been more direct (or more so snippy) at times at a few points it just got to me. I don't think I crossed any lines but I was more irritated than my usual self. For that I am sorry. It's not that I normally hide irritation but that normally I am not irritated. I have a high threshold.
