While what you said is true and good looks and being sexually attracted should be the last reasons why anyone should get married, I think if more people married out of their churchs membership there would be far less divorces and broken familes.

I don't disagree. But, I think that the service is not the time for the singles meet and greet.

Of course not. Who in the world suggested that?

I still believe that a pretty face and nice smile attracts good men and provacative clothing would only cause them to disregard the woman wearing them as less than modest and unworthy future wife material. Not all men have their minds in the gutter.

What did he write???? I must have missed it :(

I erassed it as I thought I must have offended someone.

To make a long story short, I hate my job and I've been analizing why. What I have doscovered is that I hate it because it is so un-fullfilling and un-rewarding and otherwise mid boggling boring.

When I have a busy day or on a day when I have accomplished something meaningful other then not falling asleep, I feel pretty good about.

I don't really have a choice about changing jobs or positions within my company. I was forced to take this position 8 years ago because no one has ever done it well. Contrary to my personal beliefs, my company thinks I'm doing a great job. This I do not agree with. I need to keep busy and feel as though I am accomplishing something. (Its an outside sales position for those of you who do not know)

So my question: Is it a sin because I hate my job?

I wouldn't think it's a sin.

I'm sure there are some things about your job that you do like...and I'm also sure that you can see how your job benefits your fellow man in some way. There are probably things you just don't like about your job but surely there are some good things about it as well?

Well, I like 5 O'clock :) and friday night

You're not alone in that sin if it is, Jim.

I guess lots of people struggle with jobs they hate. I am fortunate to have had a job that I really loved for 12 years, something that any normal person would likely hate, but it suited me fine. I miss working with my hands. I think God made man to work with his hands, thats why He gave us 2 hands and only 1 mouth :)

I don't think it is either, unless you are coveting something else.

Well, I'm not sure if I have ever coveted someone else's job but some of them would be pretty welcome. My wife keeps telling me to get off my duff and get a better job. She actually thinks I have talent, (she msut not be as bright as I thought she was ;) ) but at 60's years old and a hand full of health problems I know this is my last job. Thankfully I have a good boss. And my job could be worse. I was unemployed for 12-14 monthes once, so I am thankful to have a job.

This where I give my your never too old to go back to school speech, but I believe you said you didn't want to hear it. ;)

My dad is getting ready to retire from his job early next year - he's 65. He's been at the company 40+ years. For most of those years, he's hated his job, but would not look for another one. One of the times he had to honor a strike on the premises and couldn't work, he was offered a couple of different jobs that paid more, but he wouldn't take it. The only thing I can think of is that he thinks that's all he knows how to do, but I know he could do more if he tried.

At least the last 5 years or so, he had a very nice boss. That goes a long way towards any job satisfaction you might have.
