CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Sin is not always bad.

I don't know what point you're trying to get at, if any. But no, sin is never anything but evil. There is no sin that's any worse than any other, or any better than any other. Humans aren't the standard by which good and evil are measured. God is.

If you just mean that people can be fooled into thinking that something sinful is really good, then I agree. That's the game that Satan plays with us all the time, and he's a pro at it. That doesn't change the fact that it is still sinful.

But humans think that they are in fact the standard by which good & evil is measured. We do not always know the line between black & white, good & evil. Our eyes are tainted gray or grey by the curse of sin. God is the measure of what is good & what is sin. Things are either good or bad, sin or not, black or white. But we are often blind to this. We will sometimes say that something is good when it is in fact a sin.
