Point one and two contradict! If sin is still done, then there's sin in the world. It's still sin. You can't call a dog a pony. Sin is sin.
I believe Jesus took away all sin. Is that wrong of me?

YES!! we still face sin regardless!! Yes we are saved but we still WE ARE HUMAN WE ARE FLESH WE ARENT PERFECT!! WE ARENT PERFECT but! we are forgiven WE ARE GOIN TO MESS UP!! regardless!! I dont care if Hl2 belives theres no sin in the wolrd or not but Honsetly It is Common and sense there is sin !! What do you thikn it be like if we have no sin we be perfect we wouldnt NEEED jesus!! now would we NO
i am just speaking How i feel
I believe Jesus took away all sin. Is that wrong of me?
Exactly. If sin still hurts us and we feel that pang from the Holy Spirit trying to turn us from it, despite the fact that we've been saved by God, that means sin is still a very real thing that tries to destroy us...even if it's just physical. If anything, there is no sin in heaven and we are perfect in that plane when we are with God. But here on earth, Satan is still the god of this world and sin is very real and very harmful.
Hi hl2. Took away, or Redeemed us from it?
yes this i know but we arent!!Luke 6:40
A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher.
Jesus is perfect.
Yesit is! We struggle with it just as much as other people because you know most of teh world. people that arent christians are all Chained in SIn b.c satan already has them but with Christians!! Satan wants us to sin wants us to fall and give up!!!
Satan wants us more then anything!! he tries to make us SIN! so yes there is sin in the world regardless!!
yes this i know but we arent!!
without him!! we wouldnt be where we are today thats all
OF coruse he is perfect!! i think you misread what i said!! but yeah he is perfect I know what you are talking about so
What does it mean for the "world" to "have no sin"?
yesWell Jesus made it a requirement to be perfect, you know?
Which is the reasoning for posting that.
But I will use a different verse too
Matt 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
He said that after explaining we should love those who hate and persecute us. So to be perfect is to love everybody, not just those who you like. And love does no harm to anyone, but it does not mean you won't offend them.
I believe is Christ Jesus As well! and yeah i get where your going from no hard feelingsWell there is sin in the world in as much people commit sin everyday in heart and action. But Jesus took away all this sin in the world. Through his water and blood.
Therefore regardless of it all being done it is still gone.
I will only go half way in saying sin is being committed, but Jesus blotted it all out, so in reality it's not there.
It's paid for, which is what I believe.
So I believe there is no sin in the world.
Because he paid for it all.
That is also why I believe I have no sin, because I believe in Christ Jesus.
I am glad to be insane then lolOh, I see. The original argument is an equivocation.
Look, if you disagree with our (i.e, everyone except your) use of the term then just well say so. We'd still disagree, but at least we'd be communicating clearly. I'm quite sure you realize that we don't mean what you say we mean by "there is sin in the world", and you have to know that when you say you are "without sin" that it sounds downright insane according to how everyone but you uses the term.
Jesus loves paradoxes.
Remember the answer that was given to the rich young ruler when he wanted to know what to do in order to inherit eternal life: he was told that he must obey all of the commandments and to sell his possessions and give all to the poor. And to the disciples who were perplexed it was told that all things are possible with God, and that all who believe on Christ will have eternal life.
So is that a contradiction? Did Jesus give a false answer? No and no. Both answers are correct: the requirement for eternal life is sinlessness and all those who truly believe will be made, through faith, to be sinless.
From the broad eternal perspective, the sinfulness of a believer is irrelevant: it will be erased, being thrown into the endless depths of the sea of God's righteousness. To say that there is ultimately no sin for the redeemed is correct in a sense if it is a recognition of the Gift of eternal life.
From the narrow, here-and-now perspective of each person, however, the wages of sin is still death, even for believers. God is able to keep us though, even if that means chastisement to the point of death to keep us from being condemned with the world.
So while I agree with what you're saying, what you're saying isn't always the correct answer. Obviously we shouldn't fool ourselves into thinking that because Christ died for our sins that we can therefore do any evil thing we wish, and even if that's not your modus operandi, someone somewhere could easily take that same message and twist it into exactly that.
For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Rom 6:23
Both perspectives are correct, and I think it should be left at that.
This thread would truly spike me in anxiety because as you guys know I deal with OCD Scrup version and I am always trying to perfect myself to the point I self destruct. Nothing wrong with running away from sin but when your whole being become intertwinded to being perfect like Jesus. When you miss the mark and you will it's a crushing blow to me.
I believe is Christ Jesus As well! and yeah i get where your going from no hard feelings
Haha I have a extreme case of perfectionism. If I think a bad thought or desire in myself, I feel like my day got ruined. Don't even mention practicing it, I will cry.
But read this
John 13:8-10
Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!”
Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”
Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”
Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.”
Jesus said here that if He does not wash you, then you have no part with Him. But he says the bathed (meaning the saved) only have to wash their feet, BUT ARE COMPLETELY CLEAN. To wash your feet then is to do this as it is said in Acts 10:43 "To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins." So to wash your feet is to ruminate on the gospel that saved you. For my self, applying this to my own beliefs, I simply believe even more in Gods righteousness and less of my own when a evil thought comes inside of me or I commit a sin. God is great, even though I have to wash my feet, it's not like I got dirty with sin, instead I remain completely clean. Him making it a requirement to wash you proves that He knows about our weaknesses.
