  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm a CSI fan, too. We also watch NCIS. We watch the CBS Monday night line-up. Monday and Thursday are our big nights for t.v.

My favorite British show was 'The Goodies.'

I helped Darrell do some moving yesterday. We moved his tools/ toolboxes and other garage stuff. My left tricep is sore from exercising and not drinking enough water yesterday. :p Left knee is killing me...

The parade was not fun. The first graders were all over the place. I have a group of class- act whiners.

Wow those really take me back! When I was little, I used to fight to stay awake Sunday nights (11pm or 12am) to watch it through the fuzz on a small black and white TV... man I miss that show. I wish they'd bring 'em back.

My husband has taped (off of TV back in the 80's LOL) and DVD copies of a lot of the 4th & 5th Doctor stuff. Of course the 9th Doctor season just finished airing here in Canada, with the 10th Doctor coming this fall. I have yet to hear of it being broadcast in the US except in places that get CBC (mostly border towns....)

As far as I'm concerned, Tom Baker is the only Dr. Who.

Almost agree - Jon Pertwee was also one of my favorites. He was very charming.

One of my fondest memories of my last trip to Iowa to see Phoebe was when we were going to bed after her and Susan left her hotel room, was turning on the TV and finding a Dr. Who episode - like, at 1:00 a.m. Our local PBS affiliate stopped airing Dr. Who over 10 years ago. We had to stay up and watch it.

Hey Scott, not to change your mind or make you consider it or anything, but...

The producer of BG is Ron Moore, who essentially took Gene Roddenberry's place when he died, on TNG, DS-9 and Voyager.

Sorry, I had forgotten that little tidbit of meaningless trivia.

Yeah and Michael Piller went on to "The Dead Zone" tv series with Anthony Michael Hall as it's star. I see that the actress who played the last Dax on DS9 (Jadzia) is one of his co-stars.

In our house, Barney is the top hit, at least with my two precious little grand daughters.

As for me, I like Star Trek though I rarely watch it anymore, comes on when I don't watch TV. All the CSI shows, but especially the newest one filmed in Miami. House  is probably my favorite.

Never seen Dr Who! Who is dat anyway :D Don't have cable or dish, don't watch all that much of tube anymore, except Barney.

Actually CSI New York starts on 9/28 which is a week from this Wednesday. I saw a promo for it during Miami last night.

According to my TVGuide it starts this week, but it wouldn't be the first time TVGuide was wrong.

Peace.

Of course if you are in Canada they may be getting it a week early due to other program changes in the US. So don't quote me on my previous post.

That's entirely possible. Some shows we can get early. For example, we get Days of Our Lives (yeah...I watch some soaps with my wife) a day earlier than in the states, but we get Smallville a week later. Give and take.

Peace.

Holy cow you guys! I just watched House for the first time.

It is easier to watch the murders and cold heartlesness in CSI than it was to watch that little girl walk out of the hospital!

Darn, I missed it. I had to watch the Big Brother 6 finale and see who they gave the money to.

I did see the premiere of NCIS though. Sasha Alexander had a guest role where she haunted all of her friends in different costume. Portraying how each one of them often viewed her.

Well I know that I can probably catch this episode in December when shows typically show a few re-reruns during the holiday season so as not to compete with the holiday shows.

Wasn't that an amazing episode? I think it was the best so far...

While watching the show I was half convinced the little girl was a real cancer patient, she did such a good job of acting.
