At least you are honest about it. I could stand to get rid of some of my own vastness. I have been drinking a lot more water and less to no soda pop. While I like Diet Pepsi I am not married to it and have not made a commitment to it in any way shape or form.

I am right now about 60 to 70 pounds overweight. I am looking at seeing a nutritionist to help me change my eating habits as well.

I'll tell you what they'll say...and save you about $120...

ready...here goes...

"Eat less, exercise more"...

thank you...

also try Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke...that stuff is awsome...

I am dieting too. To become healthy; have been having back pain and I think it is related to my weight.

I walk my dog just about everyday. He's in GREAT shape of course:) .

I just want to lose about thirty pounds. Hoping I will be able to do this slowly and keep it off.

We have an old Lutheran Store amongst the other stuff here. They have the lutefisk T-shirt:

Lutefisk: The piece of cod that passes all understading. :sigh:

Pastor was back in his position as celebrant today (he's been recovering from surgery for the past month), so that was nice. :) However, there was a guest speaker to do the sermon, which quite frankly was an awful one. Plus, the guest wore a rainbow stole with his robe. I didn't even want to ask what that was about...

Well, I'm in Manitoba, Canada right now. Today I visited a LCC church, Trinity Lutheran, in Morden today. Very nice service, even if it went a bit quick (they share the same pastor with the LCC church in Winkler).

Very strong Law/Gospel sermon; even the children's sermon was stronger than what I am used to hearing, even stronger than at the LCMS church I visited a few times in my hometown.

They did not have Holy Communion at this service. I do not know if this pastor would have welcomed me to the table, as we only had a few minutes before the service to talk. Perhaps the conversation would have been more to the point if it had been Communion Sunday. Truly, I felt very much at home and relieved that this church took Holy Communion as seriously as it do. I would very much like to visit this church again. In fact, if I could find a church like this near my home, I would certianly consider joining!

You know, Christian Forums has always been an ugly website... But now, they have really outdone themselves! I have tried to give it a chance, but it's almost too much for me.

If this is what CF used to look like:

Were the color stripes running vertically (along the lenth of stole) or horizontally (across the stole)?
