suffering in the world? It is from the disharmony of man...
In the beginning, humanity was made by the hand of God with his blessings (or peace, unity, and harmony of God). Humanity was made to be intimately connected to God, within itself (community; individual to individual), and the environment. Further, man and wife were created without any shame (layers of regret, secrets, betrayal, fronts, hypocrisy, and nothing to cover up) to each other. This whole world was so united that when humanity choose to live outside of Gods harmony that the whole physical world is thrown out of whack. As soon as humanity made its choose of living outside of the harmony, humanity is disconnect to God whereas, God asked what is your identity now? Then their eyes where opened and they found there were things to find, things to cover up, boundaries, and that they were vulnerable. They are disconnected from each other. After that humanity had to sweat and labor hard to sustain its life among the environment. Disconnection was among all of what humanity was connected to.
After the fall, God did not leave humanity to its fate of disconnection because the disharmony that was caused, but he has chosen to go about restoring humanity to the garden. The final restoration is far off, but here and now we are to live as he purposed us to live as we where in that day. Inherently, Christians are very sexual people but not in the common terms.
The word sex comes from a word that means to cut off, disconnect, or to sever from the whole. You can see other derivatives of the original word; sector, sect, etc. Then, sex became a unifying of division. So then our awareness of sexuality is our identification of our disconnect and our search for connection. This awareness is a longing to be connected. Sexuality might include the physical union of two people, but it also is something much more that is at the foundation of humanitys restoration of unity.
A common question(s) within humanity is: Why cant everyone just get a long? Why is there so much division? Why cant we all be connected and get along? The bible says this is rooted in the calling of God and the creation he made. We long to be connected with the rest of the world. We cant escape it. Most often, the things that we look back in life at and wished to change were connection and unite to people.
We believe that we lived a life with major divisions within our purpose in being, and some how God built us to embrace the universe and everything in it in the way he has purposed for us. We know that emotion of uniting in harmony comes from our foundation of our creation. We know with assurance that we can live in harmony of the soul, here and now. So then, we turn away from our old life in all of its incompleteness and live the way God meant for us.
Eph 4
22You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
25Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold.
Into our new being, our mind, heart, and soul are restored to Gods creation. It will not simple due to allow a disconnection with our minds to continue. Out of the mind comes the words and deeds. We are guided by the power of the Holy Spirit. Through our faith in his message produce the fruits of the spirit which produces harmony. So then if we should have a thought about an action, we have to identify what are our thoughts rooted in? Are our thoughts rooted in love, some form of wanting to be connected, or evil?
So then if a person gets to know another person (mending this disconnection that we have) then this is good. The person is trying to emotionally unify to that person. However, this form of union should not be misused. It is through Christ that we form unions with others which are taking part of Gods restoration.
Gal 3:
26So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29If you belong to Christ, then you are Abrahams seed, and heirs according to the promise.
In Christ, we dwell in the restoration and unification of the nations. So then a group of Christians is a group of people trying to live in harmony, unify, and restore peace on earth through the power of God. It will not due for the group of Christians to sit by and allow anyone to dwell in disharmony. We actively seek out disharmony at the root and allow the presence of God to be restored there. Over and over again in the NT, the faithful went about restoring and uniting by taking care of others physical and spiritual needs. So then, we when you find yourself being pulled to another person to care for them and love them, do not misuse this for temporary pleasures. Just because a person can make it fit, does not mean a person should desire to put it there.
In Christ our labor and hope is not in vain. There is a day of restoration is in Rev 21. In Rev 22, the garden is restored. In that great city, the environment, God, and humanity are restored to the harmony without betrayal, divorce, lies, secretes, rolling of the eyes, no hurtful commits, etc. The leaves of the tree of live heal the nations (as opposed to the leaves of trees just after the fall that helped create layers of being disconnected). The fruit of the tree will be produced all year. There will be no curse (no more observations of disconnection within life). In that place, the throne of God and God will dwell there. His servants will serve him there, and the people will see the face of (no disconnection with) God. Further, his name will be on their forehands. (Where is God? In, through, and among them!)
