  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I've only got one but he's a wierd one. He loves to wheek and make noises and he's super smart. He has different noises to tell us when he needs food or water. He also LOVES cilantro. He won't eat parsley at all now that he's tried cilantro, but he at least will eat oranges and apples sometimes. And he unfortunately hates having his nails clipped, but he doesn't have a lot of choice on that one.

Yes, our piggies cry very loudly when it's clipping time. Ours observe and adapt to our routines. It's weird. They know that the first one out of the shower owes them each an orange drop (a little chewable vitamin which they love) and that whoever is packing the sack lunches for the day owes them each a leaf of lettuce. Also, we often eat dinner on the couch. When they notice that, they eat at their bowl or drink at the water bottle. Our piggies have dinner with us. Maggie (the older one) has always done that. I think it's her way of being social (she's the one who doesn't particularly love to be petted). I think Daisy learned the behavior from her.

Ice berg lettuce won't hurt them. It doesn't contain any beneficial nutrients, though. Good alternative greens are timothy hay, collard greens, spinach, kale, turnip greens, romaine lettuce and other deeper green lettuces. They love dandelion flowers too from your yard, just wash them first. Fruits and starchy veggies are not good in large amounts because they can upset the normal intestinal flora or bacteria they need to digest their food. It's a good idea to keep your pellet food in either the fridge or the freezer to keep it fresh if you can't use up the supply within two months.
