I'm home today. I watched one of the online Liturgies (unfortunately, the cantor snorted through much of it Please, if you have a microphone and a cold, maybe it's a day to let someone else cant). Then I watched a friend's Baptist service (they were singing and I used to be Baptist). I wanted to tear my hair out. I wanted to post a bunch of things to Facebook, but decided that wasn't wise. The message was on Thankfulness instead of complaining...so after all my complaining, let me just say that I'm Thankful I found the EOC and have come a long way from being Baptist.

I think it's really hard for people who haven't found what we have to understand that. Just so we don't get swelled up with pride for being lucky. After all, the 12 disciples were luckier than John's disciples...

No, I'm no (pride part). I just see things differently now and didn't realise till today just HOW differently. I grew up sitting through those services. I'm glad it was online, because if I had been there, I would have been tempted to raise my hand and ask questions (and not ones the pastor would have appreciated). Hint: current politics were part of the sermon.

I went to my nephew's baptism at a methodist church that made me do just about the same thing. Even when I was RC I had a severe aversion to that kind of worship but now when I'm around it, it makes me want to run out of the church as fast as I can.

I hear ya Etsi, tis the same way I feel when I see old Episcopal services, or the old televangelists that I would occasionally watch on TV.
