  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just finished the second Silent Hill game (got Leave ending) and just can't get enough of this game. :D The deep story, and the deeper story for the fans who read more about it after they're done playing. Also, very scary game. Scariest I've played (yes, scarier than Resident Evil 4). Such a wonderful game!

What does everyone else think about it?

I played Silent Hill 1 for playstation years ago. I never beat it but I think I got pretty far, wasn't sure how much more I had to go. Definitely a scary game, made me jump many times and get chills down my spine.

I'm still fascinated by the fact that Silent Hill 4 wasn't even ment to be a Silent Hill game. They just made it one cause making a new franchise would be too risky. So they took the Walter Sullivan character from the other games, through him into 4 and made a few changes to make 4 explain the other 3 (kinda, at the very least how Pyramid Head came to be).

Silent Hill games are great. I have SH2 and beat it about 2 years ago, great game. I bought Silent Hill 3 a while ago but I haven't been able to beat it because it freaks me out too much, haha. That might be because I only play horror games at night. You just get a much better experience.

There's this abandoned mental hospital right around where I live called Byberry, and it's really scary..the thing is, being inside and walking/looking around, it looks so similar to the environments in Silent Hill games. Long, dark hallways..rust everywhere..random things that freak you out, like when me and my friends found a notebook with blood stains on it in one of the rooms before..broken things, such as shattered toilets and whatnot..creepy sounds..pretty much everything about it is so similar to Silent Hill. When I walk around the place I feel like I'm in the Silent Hill games(well, except for the fact that I usually have a bunch of my friends with me, and in Silent Hill you're usually always alone..but you wouldn't wanna walk around this place alone..believe me). It's so scary, but so much fun to explore, and so interesting to see some of the stuff that you can find in there..it's huge too, there's a few maps online, http://byberry.cjb.net/ has one. To elaborate how huge it is, I've explored just the N-10 building 3 times(for hours at each time), and I've only been through about half of it.

Oops, I went a bit off topic, haha.

Wicked series. I didn't play the first one until very recently. I found it was far too awful, though I'm sure it was good for its time. I couldn't handle its datedness. 2 and 3 are the best. 4 doesn't have the same freaky atmosphere...

And 2 is far better than 3.
