Which do you guys think is better, Agaetis Byrjun or ( )? I like Agaetis better myself, the title track and "Staralfur" are probably my favorite Sigur Ros tracks. Oh, and does anyone have Von? It was their first album, released only in Iceland I think.

I prefer Aegetis over ( ) by a hair. They're both incredible albums though. As for Von, I wish I had it, but I've never been able to find it here in America.

I've actually never heard them before, but a few of my friends rant & rave about them. I'm going to see the Kronos Quartet tonight and they're playing a piece by Sigur Ros.

I've actually never heard them before, but a few of my friends rant & rave about them. I'm going to see the Kronos Quartet tonight and they're playing a piece by Sigur Ros.

Whenever you get back please, do tell me what Kronos is like. The only time I've ever heard them is when they guested on a couple Dave Matthews Band tracks on their Before These Crowded Streets album. Is their music really good? Very classical sounding or what?

kronos quartet is playing a sigur ros piece??? interesting.... i dont know much about kronos quartet but they complemented requiem so much, awesome soundtrack. as for sigur ros, It really depends, sometimes I feel like (), other times i feel like aegtun bytrun. I heard their new album is gonna be more catchy and will have more appeal, like with aegtun byrtan. Music that comes from Iceland is so awesome!!!!!! They know how to make good music.

The show was incredible. Kronos Quartet is an unconventional string quartet. It is two violins, violia and cello. However, they play amplified, use electronic effects, samples, etc. In addition to Sigur Ros, they also played stuff by Charles Mingus and then stuff by modern composers. They even played some Turkish folk music. They're very eccentric, but amazing. Go see them if you ever get the chance.

Thank you for that info! I'm going to have to look into picking up one of their albums or downloading some of their music. They sound a lot different, more different than your typical string quartet. Glad you enjoyed the show!
