  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

  • The rule regarding AI content has been updated. The rule now rules as follows:

    Be sure to credit AI when copying and pasting AI sources. Link to the site of the AI search, just like linking to an article.

I think this thread became fellowshippy, also :sigh: This is all becoming quite complicated now. I've put the full list in the sticky, so I think we need to say that from now on, people need to post here, and then they can be added to the members list, but all of us just copying and pasting the list again and again is meaning we all have a different list :swoon:

Do you know how I get my list? I click on the "replys" number and up comes this list of all the people who have posted in it. That's why it's important that everyone sign in here. It's the easiest, and most accurate way to do it IMO.

I know people who told me to just add them in the list because they saw me doing all the updating. To be honest when you started the thread you weren't very clear about this issue.

We're a baby forum, so we're still getting our stuff together. These are just teething problems :)

I do think people need to sign in in order to become a member, and anyone who hasn't will need to. We can add that to the sticky for people to read, and point them to the sign in thread. That would work, I think?
