buy it off amazon but make sure it is compatible with your comp as it is a windows 98 game.
Patched it runs on all versions of Windows (excepting maybe 64 bit processors, haven't played around with those). Ask me if you need help.

Anyway, the Gaians were good, but there were others who were very good. The spartans were just literally nuts - there was nobody better in combat. Free Skunkworks at every base was kinda hot too. The University was one of the strongest, unless they were near the believers (starting near the believers meant find the spartans quick and prostitute yourself).

The Gaians were just nuts for the early Weather Paradigm though. I think that was the best secret project in the game.

"Man has killed man from the beginning of time, and each new frontier has brought new ways and new places to die. Why should the future be different?"

"
Some would ask, how could a perfect God create a universe filled with so much that is evil. They have missed a greater conundrum: why would a perfect God create a universe at all?"

"
As distances vanish and the people can flow freely from place to place, society will cross a psychological specific heat boundary and enter a new state. No longer a solid or liquid, we have become as a vapor and will expand to fill all available space. And like a gas, we shall not be easily contained."

There was a series of novels written by some guy based on Alpha Centauri. I've been meaning to read them.

I was always a big fan of The University, though. I usually would enjoy poking and prodding the Believers - "I surrender, mighty Provost, for my defeat is abject and total." Bwa-ha-ha. > : ) . I'll throw in mine from Alpha Centauri:

"If I determine the enemy's disposition of forces while I have no perceptable form, I can concentrate my forces where the enemy is fragmented. The pinnacle of military achievement approaches the formless; if it is formless, then even the deepest spy cannot discern it, nor the wise make plans against it." - Sun Tzu

"Man's unfailing capacity to believe what he prefers to be true, rather than what the evidence shows to be likely and possible has always astounded me. We long for a caring Universe which will save us from our childish mistakes, and in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary pin our hopes on the slimmest of doubts. God has not been proven not to exist, therefore, he must exist."

"Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Fellow creators the creator seeks - those who write new values on new tablets...."

The cyborg factory? one always gives me a chuckle.
