  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have a brother who is 4 years younger. I guess we're kinda close we always got along fine. He'll call me sometimes or send me IMs to talk and stuff like that. I can't believe how old he's getting, he's already been driving for over a year and just bought a motorcycle :swoon:

Awww, why did my post make you feel that way?

I know that I enjoy having brothers, I wanted a sister too though! But my brother got married and I have one now! YAY!!

Well no actually it was true. When I was 6 years old, my mom was having another child. (She had a miscarriage before that I blame myself for)

But anyways when she got pregnant again I told her that I wanted a sister. I can't remember the reason why though, I think part of it had to do with the fact that I wasn't good at sports and didn't like them and I was afraid if my brother was he would get all the attention.

Also I just wasn't into all those boyhood pursuts that most boys are when they are 6 years old. So its not like I could have at the time taught my brother to play basketball.

The closest thing I have to a sister is my favorite cousin. She's 3 years older then me and she's been someone I've always admired. When we where in undergradutate work we ended up going to the same school for the same major. She went ahead and went to law school a year or two later and actually got a free ride plus a stipend because she's incredibly intelligent. But the two of us have always been similar in personality and actually since our dad's are identical twins we actually look quite a bit alike. We have been confused for siblings before.

Kind of always wished I had a younger sister. But I guess its good because if I did have a younger sister my brother's age I probably would have purchased a 12 gauge by now.

I have one brother who's older by three years. Love 'im to death, we've always been very close. He was the only big brother in the neighborhood who never minded his baby sister tagging along constantly, and would flatten any of his friends who'd tell him to ditch me, lol.

Since my parents have been sick we've been a team caring for them, so we've only grown to respect and admire one another even more as we grow into adulthood.

Right from the start I always had to be just like him! ^_^

Given both parents are good Catholics, I have four brothers and two sisters! I came fifth. My oldest brother Antony is 25 and when we were little he was kind of the role model, grudgingly the protector of his younger siblings, and really disgustingly clever. We get along well, but its less of the party that it is when I get together with my other brothers.
My older sister Luisa is 24 and has a talent for making people crazy. She is always neat, clean, perfectly poised and polished, and expects everyone else to be that way. Arrrrgh!
Niccolo (always called Nic) Is hilarious. Hes so funny, loves playing practical jokes, and can talk at length on any kind of sport. hes in the UK for the year, which makes it hard to be close, but he often sends emails detailing his latest adventures. Hes 22.
Luca (AKA Luc) Is the most serious out of all of us. He's 21, very quiet, studying to be an engineer, and plays rugby for the Canterbury colts, and we're all waiting for him to become an All Black.
Then comes me...
Then its Lorenzo, who is my best mate. He's 18 and will be coming to live with me either this year or next. I love him heaps, and we have pretty much always done everything together. I dont think Saint Pauls ever saw two more unruly altar boys!
And lastly, my baby sister Maria. Currently she's acting like a complete brat, but hopefully that will pass. She's always kind of been left behind, shes five years younger than me, and nine years younger than the only other girl of the family. I guess I just dont know her.

I (20) have 3 younger sisters (Jennifer 18, Melanie 15, Sarah 13). I have always got along with Jennifer the best because we kind of paired off as we grew up.

Now I also get along with Melanie really well too. I think I will probably get along really well with Sarah once she gets past the developing teenage years, she is already better than she was at the start of the year.

As you can imagine their is a lot of emotion in a house full of girls so sometimes we can all be really good friends but at others we fight and yell and scream with the best of them (never gets physical though :) ).

I have an older sister names Larissa. Shs's 28, married to Brad. same age and has one daughter, Jody. She's technically my half sister from my mom's 1st marriage but we don't consider each other half-siblings. We're all just family, not half family, ya know? Here's a picture of them from when we went to Hearst Castle.

My only full brother is Kyle who's 21 and married to Sarah who is 22. These are pics from their wedding reception.

I have 3 siblings, but I'm only close with one of them. Her personality is more imaginative, and similar to mine. The other two are solid citizens (a soccer mom and a millitary dad), but their lives are more about sports and structure... to the point that we don't have much to talk about outside of family gatherings. That said, none of us are on bad terms.

I have a younger brother. Growing up we were inseparatable. We had each other back through everything. Everyone will tell you that it was the craziest thing that they ever saw. I would never share all my secrets with anyone but him. He got married a few years ago, I wasn't pleased with his choice...but it was his choice. Everyone friends & most family told him in one form or another that it was a mistake...I just kept my mouth shut and stood by him like I always did. We hardly talk or see each other even though we live in the same town. She has slowly pushed everyone from his life away. He can't do anything without her approval...and he seems OK with that. The only thing I can do is stand on the sidelines and when he gets wise, I will be there to pick up the pieces like I always do.

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope something works in his life for the better.

Given both parents are good Catholics, I have four brothers and two sisters! I came fifth. .

How Funny!!! I too am Catholic & I have 5 brothers & 1 sister!!!! I am the youngest of the whole bunch!!
We range in age from 39 (me) to 51 (John).
4 were in the Military at one time. We live all over the place--so I don't see them often. We almost lost Jim (a cop in Ohio)-this Easter. He had a heart attack & went into Cardiac Arrest--but he is ok now-Praise God.
Jim is the one with whom I get along the least--but we are not in any particular disagreement. I am close emotionally to my brother Tom (Butler, PA) & my sister (Yakima, WA), & my oldest sibling--John. I get along with Chris & Pat quite well. I see Chris more often--because he lives east of Nashville, TN--only a 3 hour drive from the Knoxville area where I live.
For a big family--we all get along--so that is a big blessing.

Two brothers one older one younger
my oder brother and I get along great we don't get to talk much these days cause we seem to be so busy that we keep missing each other! But when we do we can talk for hours and often do late at night (it's the only time we're both home!) We get along fantastically I have a lot of respect for him he's such a good man!
my younger brother is well he's just turned 18 and he's a good kid he really wants to do the right thing by people. He often comes to me for advice and tries to make it sound like a hypothetical situation. I'm always the one to make sure he treats girls right and he does! I'm very proud of him because I know that he struggles with temptation and purity and stuff and he really wants to do the right thing and works really hard at it.
So yeah we all get along fantastically

I have 2 sisters both of them older. One is 4 years older than me her name is Mary, the other is 3 years older than me and her name is Melissa. Its kinda funny how relationships have developed. Growing up Mary was my favorite sister she would always play with me and stick up for me she was the nice sister, then Melissa was the one that would bully me and hate me...but now that we have all grown up...

Melissa is my BEST friend and we are practically inseprateable ( i think i spelt that wrong:scratch: ) then mary and I barely talk, to be honest i really cant be in her presance too long bc she is very ignorant and stubborn and those are my pet peeves, and she is religious but very hypocritical about it she is very unforgiving and loves to hold grudges....we barely talk and i live closer to her than Melissa. Melissa lives in Colorado and we talk and see each other more than i see mary its fun time sin my family

lol by the way I am a horrible speller, we should get spell check on here:idea:
