• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I have relapsed...I was SI free for a few months....so much so I never even thought about it.
Now I am changing meds and IT HAS STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN.

I tried to journal about it today and was amazed what came out...

DRs say I had depression. SINCE aug 2005? I don't agree. I think there is something more wrong with me and I don't know how or where to get fixed. I wish there was a blood test to take to determine what is wrong.

i'm sorry its not that easy as to have a blood test.
But a phycologest or someone will be able to tell you what you have.
keep tryin till' they find you the right meds.
It might take a few trys but at lest you'll end up with ones that will help you beat this.
&& i'm sorry you relaped. that sucks.
but you need to remember its a part of recovery. i no. soulds silly but yerr.
Just aim for more this time!
Gods walkin with ya. Keep reminding your self that.
He want to see you beat this because he loves you so much.

stay strong.

I'm sorry you've relapsed hun, it never makes things seem any easier, it feels like how far you'd managed was for nothing. But it wasn't for nothing. Be proud of how long you made it, be proud that you have the amazing strength in you to fight like that.

I'm glad you tried to journal, it can be a really positive thing to do instead of letting all that stuff go over and over and over in your mind.

Depression can last many years, even a lifetime if it's chronic.

Keep Fighting :prayer::hug:

I'm sorry you relapsed... I know it's discouraging when that happens.

Have you considered counseling to look at what's wrong? I know my doctors see me for about 15 mins and we're done. My counselor sees me for about 50 mins... much better time to really talk about what's happening.
