• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was roaming around the forum, after being absent for about 2 months.

I usually go into the Life Stages/Ministry forums.

I noticed that there has been a separation in the Yount adults/ Teens forums.

Why is the Young adults forum seperated into age groups?
I feel this is all a bit too confusing, too many places to jump around the forum.

There is a 15-19age group in the Teen's forum. Wouldn't this be easier to combine it with the Young Adults forum?

Facing the Boards Young Adults forum, Why can't this just be in the MAIN FORUM of the YOUNG ADULTS section? Same question goes for the other ministry areas.

I'm only addressing some confusions I see within the forums. I realize the "categorization" is for a more organized interaction. But there are just too many "sub forums" that fall in the same category!

I'm not really sure and agree it may be divided oddly. I've thought this myself sometimes. The teens section is for the protection of members and for those underage to have their own place to talk amongst themselves. That doesn't really bother me.

What I find odd is the Terrific Thirties and Young Adults.

Terrific Thirties description - The forum for thirty-somethings.
Young Adults Description - A new forum for Young Adults age 18 up to mid-thirties.

The reason for the split in Young Adults is that Teens used to be from 13-20 (or 21) and we recently revised the Teens area... so the area in Young Adults 17-23 is meant to be a in between area so to speak. Not really adult and soon not a Teen either.

This one I don't think I know in full but every other age group got their own area so I think the 30's have one of their own as well.

And I don't think we're in for a forum revision.
