Should wives 'lie back and think of England' when they aren't interested in sex?

Yes, of course. It is the duty of a wife to satisfy her husband.

And the duty of a husband to satisfy his wife.

Jesus doesn't just expect us to fall over and worship Him because He says so. We fall over and worship Him because he would give His left n*t for us and did it and would probably do it again. And that's how marriage should be!

And on and on we go. Let me observe something.....when we respond this way (men) its an effort to NOT make anyone's behavior contingent on the other. But, BUT, these circular reponses, EVEN when done seemingly selflessly....as to the other person like this one above.....it DOES, if we go round and round enough, the urge to get in the last word IS the desire to make a behavior contingent...we just dont realize it

Just lying back and thinking of England seems to be what people who have a skewed view of marital sexuality think. Not to mention, it borders the line of assisted rape.

Men AND women make excuses to not have sex. It's not just women like some people here think. And it's not just men. It's about the issues which occur between the couple that need to be sorted out. And in all honesty, if any couple was experiencing problems such as this, I believe it would be a much better idea to seek counseling from a therapist or a pastor, instead of some of the wacked out advice here...

In other words, should they just do it? Or should they only have sex when the planets are all aligned and all is right in their world?
I feel like there should be more times for me personally where I get over my issues and just "do it", pun slightly intended :sorry:

Marriage is about selfless acts in my opinion. That means that as wives when our husbands want to get some kind of sexual release, the right thing to do is just lend a hand...:doh:Everything I'm typing just seems riddled with awkward innuendos!!!!!

Like most all things, sex should be a mutual act and satisfying each others desires should be a mutual act.

I think someone else said this too, normally if I'm really not into it at first, once the act is started it really is a good release for me too.
