Should we revise the King James Bible to get rid of the word "gay"?

Do your own research. They are called the manuscripts. There are many of them but they are the foundations of ALL translations.

Ah.....That "phantom" bible of yours. sort of like Webster's Unabridged Dictionary, right? All the words of this mystical "bible" you profess to believe in but can't show us, are "in there somewhere" all mixed up and out of order along with thousands of words that aren't part of this "bible", but, Hey, there in there somewhere, right? Got it.

Thanks so much for giving such a clear and insightful answer regarding what this "bible" of yours is. Seems like a lot of people today are into "reading and believing" this same imaginary book you are.

Ah.....That "phantom" bible of yours.

Kind of strange that you don't believe there are manuscripts that all translations originate from. Did you know the bible was originally written in Hebrew and Greek and some Aramaic? Might sound strange but it's true. Try Googling it.

Well, ewq. Since you must have done what you recommend I do with this Google search for all those Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic manuscripts, which you probably have never seen and never read, why don't you give us all the results of your deep research?

Can you show us a copy of this complete and inerrant Bible that you apparently want us to think you actually believe in? Yes or No?

Or are you still working on trying to piece one together, like so many others are doing, but haven't yet managed to complete?

Oh, wait.....You're still talking about that "Phantom bible", aren't you. You know....that mystical, hypothetical, ethereal, ever elusive "originals only" thingy we keep hearing you guys tell us about, that you couldn't read if you had it, and that you know does not exist.

And you think we King James Bible only believers are nuts???

Nope. To create a whole new revision over 1 or a few words would be ludicrous, imho. A multitude of words perhaps.
I believe it should be the message that counts (compare to Luke 14:7-11 between one that is richly dressed and poorly dressed, and Luke 16:19,20)

Lazarus and the Rich Man - Here a little, there a little - Commentary

The self-righteous Pharisees and scribes, acknowledged by Yeshua as the legitimate religious teachers of the Jews (Matt. 23:1-3), should have been the ones telling these people of God's love for them.
The Pharisees, who were "lovers of money" (Luke 16:14), realized that the Messiah was alluding to them with this parable and took offense. They scoffed at Yeshua. The final part of his response to the derision of the Pharisees and scribes was the parable of Lazarus and the rich man.

Luke 16:
19 Now there was a rich man dressed in purple and fine linen, making merry according to a day, splendidly/lamprwV<2988> [Revelation 3:17]
20 And a beggar named Lazarus lay at his gate, covered with sore
.
21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. [Romans 11:9]
Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores
."

The Jews/Judah were truly rich, feasting on God's spiritual blessings. Yet these very gifts caused them to stumble because they prompted them to self-righteousness. They gloried in the gifts, without glorifying the Eternal God who gave them. Instead of being a "royal priesthood" that was a blessing to all nations, they instead loathed and despised the surrounding peoples.
Certainly, as Paul wrote, "their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them" (Rom. 11:9)........

Rev 3:17
“Because thou say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'—
and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—

In contrast to the rich man, we now see Lazarus. The first thing to note is that he is depicted as a beggar. This is an apt description of the Gentiles who "laid at the gate" of Judah. Paul describes the predicament of the Gentiles before they accepted the Messiah in his letter to the Ephesians:.................

I tend to agree.

James 2:3
and ye should be looking upon him bearing the splendid/lampran<2986> raiment, and ye may be saying to him, 'Thou -- sit thou here well,' and to the poor man may say, 'Thou -- stand thou there, or, Sit thou here under my footstool,' --

2986. lampros lam-pros' from the same as 2985; radiant; by analogy, limpid; figuratively, magnificent or sumptuous (in appearance):--bright, clear, gay, goodly, gorgeous, white.
2989. lampo lam'-po a primary verb; to beam, i.e. radiate brilliancy (literally or figuratively):--give light, shine.

Gay - Wikipedia

The word gay arrived in English during the 12th century from Old French gai, most likely deriving ultimately from a Germanic source.[2]
In English, the word's primary meaning was "joyful", "carefree", "bright and showy", and the word was very commonly used with this meaning in speech and literature. For example, the optimistic 1890s are still often referred to as the Gay Nineties. The title of the 1938 French ballet Gaîté Parisienne ("Parisian Gaiety"), which became the 1941 Warner Brothers movie, The Gay Parisian,[9] also illustrates this connotation. It was apparently not until the 20th century that the word began to be used to mean specifically "homosexual", although it had earlier acquired sexual connotations.[2]

The derived abstract noun gaiety remains largely free of sexual connotations and has, in the past, been used in the names of places of entertainment; for example W.B. Yeats heard Oscar Wilde lecture at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin.

Definitely no
Words have been highjacked far too much and to start changing the meanings words in the Bible are simply wrong.
One of the worst changes in the common language these days is " wicked" to call this good or something to be praiseworthy is to me an abomination.
How Satan must delight in this sort of thing.

And how often does man try to bring God down to his level rather than raising himself up understand the wonderful Word of God.

Most so called " archaic" words can be understood when reading in context to the verse and if not as previously mentioned we have dictionaries to consult and also good ole Google to find the word meanings.

"For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of the man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower fadeth thereof falleth away:
BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURETH FOREVER. 1Peter 1:24-25a. Amen.
