God is in charge of everything so when I do evil it is his will. That much I know.

So should I also praise God for all of the evil works I do since he us in control of what I do or do not do?

Um, no, when we come to our senses we repent and praise him for bringing us back to repentance.

Dear SeventhValley. In case you are not joking, may I tell you what to thank God for? First, we should thank God for allowing His Son Jesus Christ to
pay with His Life, FOR OUR SINS. Without Jesus we would belong to Satan now, to do with us as he wants to. Second, we would not be able to " Repent"
nor would we have the chance to change into the men and women, which our Heavenly Father wants us to become, to live with for eternity.
Jesus told the Lawyer in Matthew 22: 35-40: " The first and great Commandment is: Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The second is like it: Love thy neighbour as thyself. Jesus also points out: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." In Matthew 7: 7-10: we are told: " ask and ye shall receive."
Then we thank God, and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour: all we know and all we meet, friends and not friends. We keep asking God for Love and Joy, then share all Love and Joy with our neighbour. That is straightforward, and easy to remember. A Christian`s great weapon is LOVE,
with love we overcome all evil and wrong behaviour, it might take a bit longer than angry words or threats, but Love will always be the Victor.
As for praise God for evil, God`s eternal Law of Justice will deal with evil,
we find in Galatians 6: 7-8: " Be not deceived, God will NOT BE MOCKED.
What ever Man will SOW, THAT HE WILL ALSO REAP. Blessings for Love and Good, and fitting consequences for all evil. I say this with love, SeventhValley
and send greetings. Emmy, your sister in Christ.

You said "God uses evil to bring Him glory".

Child abuse is evil.

So by your logic, God uses child abuse to "bring Him Glory". Why are you then trying to prevent God's Will?

I'm not. Your accusation has no merit.

Answer me these two questions as succinctly as you can please:

These questions are asked under the assumption that you believe God is real, He created everything and everyone, and that He is Omniscient:

1) Why did God put the Tree of Knowledge in the garden?

2) Why did God create the devil?

All good as well as evil is caused by God. War,rape, theft is caused by God for his glory for he will throw those people he ordained to sin into the lake of fire.

God created the Devil and non elect to punsh. He begot Jesus and created the elect to show his mercy. You cannot know mercy without a counterpoint as to what it is.

So yes all evil is created and caused by God but so is all good. All we can do is hope we are elect and enjoy the now.

You don't have to be God in order to understand Him.

I'll give you an easy one

3) Why did God destroy the town of Sodom?

Holiness dose not matter sin dose not matter. If you are elect sin should have no appeal even if you do sin you cannot loose the election.

If you think you are not elect you might as well sin boldly and enjoy life.
You are so far off base in what I understand as basic Baptist beliefs that I am at a loss for exactly where to begin.

First - God does not "cause" war, theft, rape, and other sin. Man causes this by free will and choice. God permits these actions and may use them for good, but God is not actively causing sin.

Second - Jesus and his disciples did not instruct us to "sin boldly and enjoy life." Your comments are counter to the teachings of Christ.

If these are seriously your opinions, I think you should speak with a minister and discuss the theology behind your assertions.

If you are simply playing a game of logic to confuse people here, then I feel pity for you.
