But I understand and God understands more. Sometimes people become so depressed they can't cope or start crying without knowing why. OCD can irritate yourself and those around you. I know to keep quiet about certain things because I don't want a lecture from my children. I'm not saying I have OCD, but I'm sure some of my kids think so.

yeah fluoxitine
That is really bad stuff. It messes with your conscience and it does make some people emotionless or numb to wrongdoing to where you don't feel the things you should feel. I am sorry that you are taking that and that it is impacting your ability to feel remorse over sin. All I know to tell you is that your hope and your healing is to be found in Jesus Christ.

Jason, only you and God know if your repentance was genuine or if it was fake. We can't see inside your heart. Only God can. But I can tell you what scripture says on that subject. It says that if what we practice, make our habit, our lifestyle, is sin and not righteousness, that we don't have eternal life with God but we will die in our sins. Therefore genuine repentance is evidenced by a changed heart and by changed conduct (Luke 9:23-26; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-17; Galatians 5:16-21; 1 John 1:5-9).

This is not saying that we must live in sinless perfection, but that sin should no longer be our master. It should not be what is controlling our lives. It should not be our lifestyle, our habit, our practice. So, if all someone does is sin confess sin confess sin confess, but no real change occurs in the person's life, and all he or she does is just recycle the same sins and the same attitudes and the same excuses over and over and over again, according to scripture, that is not genuine repentance.

And, all I can offer with regard to the medication you are taking is what I know from personal experience. And, it does dull your senses, and it can make people emotionless to where they don't use good judgment and to where they don't feel guilt or remorse. So, it is possible that the medication is altering your sensibilities to some extent. So, this is something you should discuss with your doctor.

And, the only other thing I can offer here, again from personal experience, is that we can't look to medication to heal us. All that medication does is mask your problems. It does not resolve the issues of your heart, which is where the real sin problem lies. For, only God can change our hearts, but we have to cooperate with his work of grace in our lives and we have to follow his lead and do what he says. So, talk with the Lord about what is going on in your life, and ask him to show you what is in your heart and whether or not you have had true repentance or not, but study the scriptures, too, for in them is truth and righteousness. And, that is all I can offer you.
