Only if you buy them retail, but you can get some really good bargain's if you buy them by the lot....I think taxes are negligible.

IMHO, illegal aliens are primarily working Americans. these two arguments are in conflict.

ARGUMENT 1
Illegal aliens are stealing all the low skill jobs. Many Americans cannot find jobs because illegal aliens are filling those jobs (and paying payroll taxes, having income taxes withheld, paying sales taxes, property taxes and all the rest).

ARGUMENT 2
Illegal aliens provide an unreasonable burden. Most can't collect unemployment or social security or welfare or medicaid or medicare.

But Mark, conspiracy theories and folk stories don't have to make sense, only to fire up the imagination/emotions!
