My friend snuck onto the computer to tell me he was grounded and told me not to tell his brothers becuase he would get another week of being grounded.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't think you need to. It's not your responsibility to worry about. He's not hurting or endangering anyone so I wouldn't.

Christian doesn't equal tattle tale. There has been alot of forgiveness that has been extended to you in all of your minor "transgressions" You should look to do the same for others where possible. Remember the story of the unmerciful servant in Mt.18 starting at verse 21.

Jesus says in Matthew 18:15 about talking to the person directly who is in sin before going and telling others. I recommend you remind your friend to do the right thing, and tell him if they ask you directly you won't lie about it and pray for him.
