I have a pinterest account, and I was wondering if I should get rid of some pins. These pins are about Jesus, which is very good, but they physically show Him as a person. Should I get rid of these as it's a sin to portray God as some sort of image, if that's the right word. They are very sweet, but will deleting them let God know that I don't want to insult Him or something like that? I kept these pins because at the time I was ignorant of creating an image of God.

You didn't create the pins. You added them to your board. The bigger issue is what's feeding your discomfort. If images disturb your spirit you can opt for bible quotes and inspirational messages in their place.

For me personally i do not like images of The Christ and i would add crosses to that.
So, of the worst are paintings of The Messiah on the cross, completely false representations .

Images depicting Christ as a person tend to be kinda divisive. Some people think they're sinful, others think it's fine as long as you're worshiping Jesus and not the image itself (I'm inclined toward the latter). In all honesty, we don't know exactly what Jesus looked like, so most images we have are inaccurate; it's important to keep that in mind and view these images as representative, not necessarily accurate.

I'd say the images on your Pinterest board would be a matter of personal discretion. If you don't feel comfortable with them, you can delete them and replace them with something else.

images of Jesus or images of anything are not actually forbidden as long as we do not worship images? and as a previous poster pointed out, some of these images can present a false picture of Jesus eg some of them show Jesus looking stern or cross, rather than love or gentleness hwich is how He is towards u sHis children (repentant born again believers) - He is only angry with the wicked, the unsaved, the unrepentant.

if you feel convicted though of having any image of Jesus being a sin, then that is a sin for you, so delete them. anything not of faith is sin- if we go against our conscience, we are sinning.

If you’d like.
I personally do not use images as Jesus, even though I’m Orthodox and goodness we have loads of images.
I see it as the IDEA of Christ’s miracles rather than Christ himself.
Of course if it is causing your soul to fret you probably should

yes!! i think we get just just a facet of Jesus when we see image of Him, as Paul says "we see dimly, as in a mirror." we won't get the full picture of measure of who Jesus is until we behold Him on that glorious day

The majority view is that since Christ took on flesh, and since flesh may be artistically portrayed, Christ in the flesh may be artistically portrayed in a respectful manner.
