I have not worked for a number of weeks. One of my friends told me that I should apply to any job even jobs I don't like such as fast food because if I stick to my interests it may be longer before I find a job. He said having a gap on my resume will raise questions during interviews. However I went to a networking session yesterday and told them about my friend's advice and they said it was bad advice. They said that since God is in control he may open a door pretty quickly to something I am more interested in.
I have a degree in biology and worked 2 yrs in a lab in the past but I have found that lab jobs may not be a good fit for me because they require attention to detail which is an area that is a weakness for me. My greatest interest involves my faith so I was thinking of applying to jobs with religious organizations, such as Christian radio stations. Since searching for a job is a full time job in itself, if I take a job I do not like than I do not have as much time to search. However I only have less than $2000 so can't wait very long so I may have to take a job I do not like as much.
