A peek into Hell!
Engulfed in the darkness around her she stood alone. With grey misty smoke surrounding her, she stood motionless. She slowly started to look around for her life, but her eyes could see nothing but an eternity of blind darkness. Slowly creeping around her feet, were millions of tiny little worms and maggots. Chills ran down her spine, as she stood dead still in her tracks. Shivers repeated to flow through her body. She felt so alone, so cold, so forgotten in this place. She looked around again and in the distance, she could see fire creeping ever so close to her. She listened intently as she heard the shrill cries of others around her. She knew then that she wasn't alone but still felt alone! The cries grew louder as the fire continued to creep ever so slowly toward her. The shrieks were loud as a panther's scream is when crying to protect it's young. Hearing all of the painful cries around her only made her heart pound and her breathing scarce. She wanted to run. She wanted to escape but some how knew she couldn't. She timidly looked around and found a small white opening. It looked as if it was close enough to jump through. She tried to jump through the opening, but panicked when her legs would not budge. She felt as if her legs were cemented to the ground. The fire spread out wider and came ever so close to her that she began to sweat. Her tongue became parched and her skin began to burn. She tried again to run through the hole. Yes! This time she could move, so she started to run toward what she thought to be her escape. She tried to jump through but instead she fell to the ground with maggots and worms still underneath her. Trying to stay calm, she got up and realized the white opening was further then what it seemed. She started running in the direction of the hole but it seemed as if it never came any closer. She ran with all her might toward the light, but it seemed as if she was only running in place. The only escape it seemed continued to stay just beyond reach no matter how much she ran in it's direction.
